Improve your skills with coaching, mentoring and workshops

As a certified coach and a writing mentor with more than 20 years’ experience in professional word stuff, I work both on a one-to-one and one-to-many basis to help upskill writing and content understanding.

Writing coach and mentor

Want to improve your own writing? Want to become a thought leader but know your writing skills aren’t up to scratch? Need some help in making your content shine, or getting a second pair of eyes before you send it out into the world? I work hands-on with writers—both natural and less confident—to help you brainstorm, untangle knots, edit and critique work, and generally get your words working harder for you.

Career coaching

Maybe you are at a crossroads with your content career, and not sure where to head next; maybe you want to get more involved with content and writing at work, but aren’t sure where to start. I’ve done a lot and had a lot of different job titles over the years, and have seen professional writing from multiple angles—in-house marketing and communications teams; in agencies as an editor and account manager; and in the media as a journalist, section editor, and sub-editor. I’m also a certified coach, having trained in transformational coaching with Animas. Let’s chat about how I can build a programme to support your career exploration.

Editorial training and workshops

I’ve learned a thing or two in my 20 years as a professional writer, and I have plenty of wisdom to impart. I can create bespoke training courses and workshops for your internal teams, guiding them in the ways of content. I can run bespoke training or workshops to get your team up to speed on all manner of content matters: basic writing skills, how to tell a story, how to interview, writing for the web, or introductions or in-depth classes in anything I’ve talked about on this page. If you don’t know what you need but you know there is a skills gap, let’s chat about how to close it. From building a strategy to the basics of writing a good story, I’ve got it covered.
