Rates

This all sounds great, but…. how much will it cost, right?

I could be totally unhelpful and reply “how long is a piece of string?”, but that won’t get you where you want to be.

I find charging per word is unhelpful for everyone involved, and doesn’t take into account things like research and thinking time. Yes, thinking time. That’s incredibly important if you want fresh, engaging content: you need to give your writer time to figure out the best approach, the best angle, and the best way to build your audience.

That’s why I prefer to speak with you before I give a set rate. If you’re looking for some one-off support, it’s best we work on a project plan together so that I can give you an accurate rate to reflect the work involved on both sides. If you’re looking for more regular content support in the way of articles and so on, I do tend to work on a rate per piece – long-term retainers costs could look different to the cost for a one-off article, depending on needs.

So, while I have set rates for certain types of content support, I’m no robot and I don’t know how to stick to a menu. If you’d like to explore working with me, get in touch and let’s chat about what you want to achieve. We can work together to find a solution that works for both budget and resource.

That said, to give you an indication*:

  • Day rate for content creation: £400
  • Day rate for strategy: £600
  • Indicative rate for a 1000-1500 word article: £600

*All prices quoted are indicative only; we’ll need to develop a quote based on your needs for more accurate pricing. I can also quote in USD and EUR.
